De er egentlig ubrugelige som transportmidler, men alligevel holder man fast i dem, og det kan man godt forst\u00e5, idet de er en turistmagnet. Mange turister nyder at h\u00e6nge p\u00e5 siden af dem, mens de k\u00f8rer i adstadigt tempo op og ned af de stejle gader. Det er ogs\u00e5 interessant at f\u00f8lge vognstyrerens \u00a0betjening af bremsesystemet. Det er uden tvivl &#8220;fingerspitz gef\u00fchl&#8221; der skal til at betjene vognen. Vi cyklede, hjemme fra hvor vi bor, over Golden Gate broen over til et hyggeligt f\u00e6rgeleje, Sausalito, og derfra sejlede vi s\u00e5 tilbage til havnen i San Francisco.<\/p>\n<figure
